Memories
I grew up in South Pasadena, California, a city with a wonderful small town feel, even though it's only six miles from downtown Los Angeles. Home to one of America's first ostrich farms and several historic sites, South Pas always hosts a parade on the 4th of July. When I was in high school, our band marched in the parade every year.
I attended Pepperdine University at their gorgeous campus in Malibu, which explains my love of all things beach-related. After college, I moved to Irvine, CA, where I met my husband. We have three amazing children, all grown now.
I caught the writing bug when I saw how much joy and excitement books brought to my children's lives. I was reminded how much books meant to me growing up. I loved being transported to different times and places, and I used to imagine myself as a silent companion to the children in the stories, there to watch and learn with them, but never to interfere.
